ABOUT ME
Hello and welcome! I'm Ryan Tan, a passionate and creative marketing enthusiast. As a fourth-year marketing student at Sheridan College, I'm on a journey to explore the exciting world of marketing and develop skills that will propel me towards a successful career in the field.
I have always been fascinated by the power of marketing in shaping consumer behaviour, building brands, and driving business results. From understanding consumer insights to creating compelling marketing strategies, I thrive on the challenge of crafting innovative and effective marketing solutions.
Beyond my academic and professional endeavours, I'm a creative thinker, a team player, and a problem solver. I'm known for my strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. I believe that collaboration, innovation, and adaptability are key to driving marketing success in today's dynamic business landscape.
When I'm not busy studying or working on marketing projects, I often explore new marketing campaigns, analyze consumer behaviour, or brainstorm creative marketing ideas. I also enjoy travelling, photography, playing video games, hanging out with friends, and learning new hobbies. With this in mind, I'm excited to continue my marketing journey and look forward to connecting with like-minded professionals, collaborating on exciting projects, and making a meaningful impact in the world of marketing.
WHY DID I CHOOSE SHERIDAN?
The main reason why I decided to go to Sheridan is because my brother went here and he told me how good it was. I am the type of person who learns better by working hands on and the flipped classroom model helps me be able to get the help I need especially since there are smaller classrooms, which allows me to feel less anxious.
I honestly wasn't sure what I wanted to pursue as a career, but I thought business would suit me the best and I decided to choose the marketing program because I like being able to express my creativity. Another reason to why I chose Sheridan instead of other business oriented schools is because Sheridan is close to my house and I didn't want to bus for 2 hours everyday.
